Let’s take a look at a selection of their gaming monitors and examine their features.
Best High-End BenQ Gaming Monitors
The flagship of their pro-level gaming monitors, the BenQ XL2730Z packs a solid punch. This 27-inch monitor is designed to provide an incredible gaming experience, honed by the latest advances in visual optics. The 144Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution (presenting up to a 77% larger viewing space than standard high-definition monitors), combined with Nvidia’s FreeSync smoothing technologies, provides for an exceptional all-around experience. It also features reduced input lag via its Ims GTG Ulta-fast lag-free response time to eliminate streaking and ghosting of images. Motion blur technology is built into the unit, ensuring the cleanest, crispest and smoothest visuals on the market. And BenQ’s Black Optimizer brightens dark scenes to provide the highest level of visibility in games. This monitor also features BenQ’s S Switch, an external controller that quickly allows you to adjust the settings without halting gameplay. A versatile and overall excellent monitor to suit any style of play.
Pro gamers need every advantage in their play, and BenQ’s XL2720Z delivers. Designed for competitive FPS game play, this monitor comes equipped with the “standard” features that BenQ is renowned for, including Motion Blur Reduction technology, FPS mode allowing you to choose optimal present screen calibrations, and customized changeable screen sizes. This unit comes equipped with BenQ’s S-switch for immediate on-the-fly picture adjustment, as well as their proprietary Black eQualizer to brighten dark gameplay. However, where this monitor shines is with GROM – Gaming Refresh rate Optimization Management, which manages the monitor’s refresh rate on the go to provide an optimal visual experience. Additionally, this monitor features a low blue light system, cutting down on the amount of harmful blue light which has been associated with headaches and eye damage. The BenQ XL2720Z is the perfect monitor for professional-level gameplay.
Billed as it’s “next generation” gaming monitor, the BenQ XL2430T packs in a lot of features for the price. This monitor is built to shine, literally, as it comes equipped with an incredible 20-level color setting giving you the ultimate control in shaping your visual experience. Automatic brightness adjustments with the Black eQualizer system, variable screen pitch adjustments, and smart scaling adjustable screen sizing are just a few of the features it offers. Impressively, users can download optimized monitor presets used by professional players and upload them into the monitor, leveraging the pros experience for the ultimate gaming scenario. This monitor also leverages BenQ’s low blue light safety system, so that game play can continue unimpeded by damaging light levels. All in all, an excellent choice for the discerning gamer.
Best Midrange BenQ Gaming Monitors
If you are looking for a unique 1080p gaming monitor that will last you years then the BenQ XL2411Z is definitely a monitor to check out. On top of allowing you to game for hours without getting fatigued eyes (Super Important!) You’ll also be getting a monitor that refreshes at 144hz and has a 1ms response time. What this basically means is that you will be in gaming heaven. One of the biggest features of this gaming monitor would have to be its amazing stand. You can literally adjust it to whatever height you want. Me being a tall person this is super important, as I am able to adjust it to my eye level and start gaming with no issues.
Designed with console gamers in mind, the BenQ RL2755HM is a classic choice for all-around gaming excellence. With a dual-HDMI input as well as featuring BenQ’s input lag technology, this monitor offers exceptional value for the price. The 27″ professional-grade display features ultra-fast GTG response time, a color palette specifically chosen for console games, as well as a 20-level color optimization guide and BenQ’s great Black eQualizer for excelling in dark game areas. Comfort and safety are at the top of mind, with flicker-free technology as well as low blue light levels to ensure your body doesn’t desert you when you need it. This monitor also comes equipped with other features such as a dedicated fighting mode, retractable headphone hook and a nook for game controller storage. This is a great monitor for console gamers, bringing the best of what BenQ’s features have to offer.
Size: 21.5″ – 24″ (Different Sizes)
If you are looking to try out a BenQ Midrange Gaming Monitor, The BenQ RL2460HT is a good choice. You will be getting a monitor that eliminates eye strain and other cool features that allow you to game better and longer. This monitor’s stand is also adjustable, allowing you to always have your monitor at eye level (which is a godsend for anyone who isn’t average height). If you love to play fighting games such as street fighter, this monitor also has a setting called “Fighting Mode” that will actively work to eliminate input lag which is one the worst things to someone who is trying to play fighting games competitively. All in all, this monitor brings some interesting things to the table and is definitely worth looking at.
Best Low-End BenQ Gaming Monitors
Another beginner-level gaming monitor, the BenQ RL2455HM represents exceptional value while coming packed with impressive features. While it is at the lower end of the price spectrum, it still comes with the standard array of BenQ’s legendary features. Flicker-free technology comes at the forefront, as does the Black eQualier to ensure you can visualize all your foes during darker gameplay moments. Multi-aspect support, fast IMS GTG response time, and smart scaling all go a long way to enhance the gaming experience in ways that comparable monitors can’t. Don’t let the lower price tag fool you – this monitor has everything that a casual to serious gamer would want.
Note: 24 inch is totally different than the 27 inch so keep that in mind.
Size: 24″-27″ (Different Sizes)
Just because this monitor is bigger and cheaper than the RL2455HM doesn’t make it better. You see this monitor is not specifically a gaming monitor so you lose a lot of gaming-specific features. However, with that being said, BenQ’s GL2760H is definitely something to consider considering the value for the price. Your Games will still look great on this 1080p and you will get a pretty fast response time coming in at 2ms. The only problem with this monitor is that unlike the monitor above this only has a 60hz refresh rate which means it won’t look as smooth. For those looking for the cheapest BenQ monitor, this is definitely it.
If you are looking for the cheapest BenQ monitor that is still good for gaming then I would recommend BenQ’s GW2265HM. This 1080p monitor doesn’t have the refresh rate or other gaming specific features as the more expensive BenQ monitors, but It still stands out compared to its similarly priced competitors. You will still be getting zero screen flicker and very little blue light making it easy on your eyes for extended gaming. One other neat feature is that it also comes with a built-in speaker(I’d still recommend getting a good headset, however)
So Which BenQ Monitor Is My Top Recommendation?
While all of these BenQ gaming monitors are excellent, the key to making a good buying decision is to balance features with affordability. While some of the higher-end models approach $500, the reality is that the inherent features built into the BenQ line mean that many of these extras will be unnecessary depending on your level of gaming. If you are a professional, then the extra features will definitely be appreciated. However, bearing in mind that most of us are casual to serious gamers and that most of us don’t have five hundred dollars to drop on a monitor, the mid-range BenQ RL2755HM seems to be the best bet for the dollars. Coming in at a suggested price of $249, this monitor combines everything you’d want: 27″ display, full BenQ feature list, as well as being ultimately designed for your everyday gamer. It’s a cut above all other monitors at this price level, and will truly help bring your gaming experience to the next level.
Honestly, whatever benQ monitor you do end up choosing will definitely be worth it. After using a BenQ gaming monitor, I don’t see myself ever going back. These monitors are a little pricey, but that’s because they are one hundred percent made to play games and will easily increase your gaming performance. One of the worst things you can do is cheap out on your gaming monitor, so get a good one that will last you a long time!
