People seem to think that gaming is all about your PC, but if you don’t have the right gaming headsets you won’t be able to game as you would if you had an amazing headset that allows you to be fully immersed in the game. I understand that everyone is on a budget however so I’ve spent a great deal of time looking for the best PC gaming headsets under $50 dollars. I found so many cheap and affordable headsets, but out of all of the headsets I found, these seven are the best.
7. Afunta X1-S Gaming Headset
when searching for the best gaming headsets under $50 dollars, I realized that not everyone could get headsets at that price so I found a gaming headset that is much cheaper. The headset that I chose was the Afunta X1-S. There’s a lot going for this headset and not only is it a very quality buy considering the price, but it also brings a host of features with it. I don’t think I’ve yet to come across a more comfortable pair of gaming headsets at such a cheap price that best these and considering that games are getting so long it makes sense to look for comfortable headsets. The worst thing is when you are gaming and you have headphones that start hurting your ears breaking immersion. With these that will not be a problem as they feature a soft leather cushion memory foam earcups that really make a difference. You also have the cord to look forward to as it is very durable so you don’t have to worry about that breaking on you anytime. One of the most important things about a gaming headset is being able to communicate with others and the Afunta X1-S’s Mic is very clear so you can easily communicate with others while gaming.

One thing I want you to know about these headphones is that while the sound quality is good these will not sound like the gaming headsets that are at the top of this list. So if you are really trying to get that top gaming experience you might want to check out the more expensive headsets.
One of the biggest surprises with the Afunta’s is that you are able to basically use these headsets for any device. So if you want to listen to music on your iPhone with these and then hop on your PC and plug these in to start gaming that is totally possible. They might not look like the best travel around headphones, but if you are on a super tight budget that could prove pretty useful.
6. Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset
I decided to include one more ultra budget gaming headset, and the one that I ended up picking after checking out plenty of headsets was the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset. The first thing you should know about this is that while it’s cheap and budget friendly that you shouldn’t immediately discount it as it really does offer a great deal for its price. The mic of this headset is clear and precise which is important when you are considering how important communication is when gaming with others. These headsets are pretty comfortable with velvet padding that makes them enjoyable to wear for a great period of time. The Fatal1ty’s can also fit any size so there is nothing to worry about when it comes to that. The sound is good and can really hold its own to more expensive headsets. One of the major pluses for this headset is its amazing bass that really lets you feel those lows while gaming which is very rare at this price point.
One additional feature that I found to be pretty interesting was that the mic has the ability to be removed. When you are not gaming with others, having a mic in front of your face is really distracting so being able to take that off and put it back on when you play with others again is a nice feature that is very rare in gaming headsets.
My only complaint is that these headphones don’t cancel out background sound that well and if you live in a noisy area you can still hear those sounds enough that it could really break immersion.
5. Logitech G230 Gaming Headset
Now that we have gotten our ultra budget headsets out of the way we are finally ready to get into the real top headsets under $50. The first to go up would be the Logitech G230’s. These headsets are made by a company called Logitech, which is known to produce high-quality gaming equipment and these headsets are a great addition to the company. One of the first things you notice about these headphones is how light they are. The G230’s look very bulky, but that is not the case at all as they weigh less than a pound. Not only are they light, but the earcups feel great on your ears and you can easily game for hours without the feeling that your ears are being tortured. The Mic sounds great and allows you to talk to your friends and communicate with others effectively. Not only do these sound great, but the G230’s look just as good as they sound and really impress with their simple yet beautiful design.
The Real thing that sets these headsets apart is the astounding surround sound that it provides. The only thing that could really ruin these headphones would be background noise. Luckily With the Logitech G230’s, you will hear nothing but the world your gaming in due to the amazing noise cancellation that literally makes you feel as though you’ve changed worlds.
One cool unique feature that these headphones have is the noise cancelling mic. Many Mic’s at this price range do not have this feature and being able to filter background from your Mic is pretty important, especially if you are in a noisy environment.
My only dislike is that these gaming headsets can easily break as these have weak points. So if you are a headset abuser then you might want to look at more durable options as these won’t make it.
4. Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 Gaming Headset
If you haven’t heard of turtle beach, then you must’ve just started gaming recently. Turtle beach is probably the most popular gaming headset maker out there and while they may be a bit overrated at times, they really do have some sleeper hits every once in a while. The Earforce X12’s are a good buy for the price and if you are looking for a gaming headset under 50 dollars then you would be missing out if you didn’t check them out.
These headphones were made for gaming on the X-box, but they work with PC just as well so please don’t worry about that. The first thing you notice about the headphones is the design and if you ask me these look pretty good so there are no complaints on that end. One of the most important things would have to be how comfortable are they? I’ve gotten some turtle beaches before and they weren’t all that comfortable, but these on the other hand feature a certain type of mesh gaming earcups that really feel amazing and can allow you to game for long periods with what feels like pillows on your ears. The Mic is clear as expected and will allow you to talk to others with ease. When it comes to sound this realy impressed me with a range of customizable features that allows you to really customize the way you experience bass and other sounds while gaming. If you are a fan of customization then this is definitely a headset to consider.
One unique thing about these headphones is the microphone monitor that allows hearing how you sound as soon as you say it. I can’t imagine how many times I’ve had to ask people how I sounded so being able to know and adjust accordingly is a unique feature.
I actually have a few dislikes, first the mic picks up a lot of background noise so if you are in a noisy area it can be really distracting at times. Second, turtle beach is known to not have the most durable products and these definitely fit that description. The X12’s sound good but their durability is questionable and people have reported that the hinges broke on them after a few years of use.
3. SADES SA913 Gaming Headset
Sades is a relatively new company that has really claimed its piece of the gaming headset market with amazing budget friendly high-quality headsets. In my top three, I’ve chosen the Sades SA913’s. I’ve ranked these headphones higher than other more expensive headsets due to them adding more to the table even at a cheaper price.
When you look at what makes a good headset for someone who is going to be using them for gaming, you are really looking at a few major things. Does it have a good mic? The Mic on the Sades is made out of a high-quality silicone which keeps it clear and means a lot less static. Is it comfortable? With this headset, you will be getting memory foam ear cups that feels amazing and will allow you to game for as long as you want with no feelings of discomfort. What about background noise? With the Sades SA913’s, you are getting a noise canceling headset that will allow you to game with no distractions so you can be fully immersed in the game world.
What about the sound? That’s where these headphones truly shine, Sades is known for their amazing bass and these headphones really can reach some amazing lows that other headphones in this price range just don’t reach. The general sound could be slightly louder if you ask me, but for most the sound is more than worth the price.
One cool thing about these headphones is the actual design. The sound dial is on the side which is totally unique looks very cool. The other nice thing about this design is that it really can be worn by anyone. The way these headsets are setup allows anyone to experience maximum comfort.
I honestly can’t find anything negative to say about these headphones and while there are better sounding ones these are just amazing headsets for what you are paying.
2. Plantronics GameCom 780 Gaming Headset
The Plantronics Gamescom 780’s are some amazing headphones under 50 dollars and that has led to them earning my number two spot on this list. If you are looking for absolute comfort then these headphones are what you have been looking for. When wearing these you will not hear anything due to the noise isolating nature of these headphones, but due to these not being noise-cancelling you will still be able to hear your surroundings when you are not gaming. The Mic is useful and allows you to isolate background sound which is definitely something as being able to come across clear and precise is very important. The most important thing is that these headphones have Dolby 7.1 surround sound that really puts you into the game world and offers amazing clear sound.
The thing that makes these unique is the ability to switch between different modes of sound which is almost virtually unheard of at this price. You can switch from surround sound when you are in intense gaming sessions and you really want to experience the game and then switch back to regular sound when doing other tasks. Personally, I find this to be a really nice addition to these headsets and adds a sense of customization.
My first issue is that just like so many other headsets the Gamescom 780’s are plagued with joints that weaken over time which can lead to a chance of them breaking in the future. These headphones are backed with a one year warranty, but this is still something you should know. The bass is also pretty mediocre considering some of the bass that it’s competitors can put out.
1. Sentey GS-4731 Arches Gaming Headset
I’ve used these with many of my PC gaming builds and there’s a good reason for it. The Sentey Arches are my number one pick for anyone who is looking for gaming headsets under $50 dollars. When you look at these things the first thing you would probably think is that they cost a lot more than they actually do and that’s what makes these so special. The mic on this headset is definitely not its strong suit, but it’s acceptable and clear. One of the things I really like about this is the design. Not only are these comfortable, but they are also very durable due to arched look that makes these much more flexible than its competitors. All of that is amazing, but the true draw to these headphones is its amazing sound. Usually, when you are talking about headphones under $50 you just have to accept that the sound isn’t going to be that good, but when it comes to these I would argue that these can rival headsets that cost double its price in sound quality. I mean the arches have high definition stereos and extreme bass a combination that I haven’t seen in any of the competition. When you have powerful mids, highs, and lows all sounding amazing, I really don’t know what else you could want out of a gaming headset.
Something that sets these apart from many of its competitors would just have to be the fact that these have some of the best durability out of all the headphones that I’ve reviewed. Where many headsets are plagued with weak joints none of those issues are present with the sentey arches. There really are no major weak points and these excel in almost every way. Honestly, if you are going to buy any gaming headset on this list this is my top recommendation.
I really have no major issues with these headphones, but the mic does take in a little bit of background noise. definitely not enough to really be a major issue, but it is something to keep in mind.
With so many different headsets it’s really hard to find the best headset under $50 dollars, but with this list, I feel as though I’ve included 7 amazing headsets that will be a joy to game with. Whether you are looking for a really cheap gaming headset or one that’s closer to $50 I’ve got you covered in this list.
If I had to recommend one of these it would definitely be the sentey arches due to their amazing value for the price. All of the other headsets have their pros and cons, but these are just so good that I really think that if you are on a budget then you might as well get the best your money can buy. In the end, it’s all personal choice which is why I provided you this list, whatever you decide you will have an awesome time gaming!
If you have any questions about any of these headsets or would like to recommend another headset please leave a comment below and I will get right to it.
