Top 7 PC Gaming Headsets Under $50

People seem to think that gaming is all about your PC, but if you don’t have the right gaming headsets you won’t be able to game as you would if you had an amazing headset that allows you to be fully immersed in the game.

I understand that everyone is on a budget however so I’ve spent a great deal of time looking for the best gaming headsets under 50 dollars.

Should you also want to have a budget computer speakers – check out our post on the best budget speakers under 50 dollars – where we break down the speakers into different categories to help you with your purchase.

I found so many cheap and affordable headsets, but out of all of the headsets I found, these seven are the best.

Here Are The Best PC Gaming Headsets Under $50

7. AFUNTA X1-S GAMING HEADSET

AFUNTA X1-S GAMING HEADSET
  • 4 pin 3.5mm single plug, applied on single 3.5mm hole notebook and mobile phone.
  • Use 3.8mm overstriking litz wire, extra strong, prevent cable from being broken.

When searching for the best gaming headset under 50 dollars, I realized that not everyone could get headsets at that price so I found a gaming headset that is much cheaper. The headset that I chose was the Afunta X1-S. There’s a lot going for this headset and not only is it a very quality buy considering the price, but it also brings a host of features with it. I don’t think I’ve yet to come across a more comfortable pair of gaming headsets at such a cheap price that best these and considering that games are getting so long it makes sense to look for comfortable headsets.

The worst thing is when you are gaming and you have headphones that start hurting your ears breaking immersion. With these that will not be a problem as they feature a soft leather cushion memory foam earcups that really make a difference. There have been some reports (perhaps on larger heads?) of comfort issues, but there are plenty of positive reviews about the comfort as well.

You also have the cord to look forward to as it is very durable so you don’t have to worry about that breaking on you anytime. One of the most important things about a gaming headset is being able to communicate with others and the Afunta X1-S’s Mic is very clear so you can easily communicate with others while gaming.

One thing I want you to know about these headphones is that while the sound quality is good these will not sound like the gaming headsets that are at the top of this list. So if you are really trying to get that top gaming experience you might want to check out the more expensive headsets.

One of the biggest surprises with the Afunta’s is that you are able to basically use these headsets for any device. So if you want to listen to music on your iPhone with these and then hop on your PC and plug these in to start gaming that is totally possible. They might not look like the best travel around headphones, but if you are on a super tight budget that could prove pretty useful.

PROS
Ultra Affordable
Durable Material
All In One
Super Comfortable
Surprisingly Good Mic
CONS
Sound could be a little better (Have to consider price though)
Uses USB, audio & Mic jack to operate
Comfort may be an issue over long periods

RECOMMENDED FOR

People who are on a tight budget and do not have the money to spend on a more expensive gaming headset

6. Jeecoo JC-G1000 Stereo Over-ear Gaming Headset

Sale
Jeecoo JC-G1000 Stereo Over-ear Gaming Headset
  • Jeecoo Digital Technology
  • Electronics

I decided to include one more ultra budget gaming headset, and the one that I ended up picking after checking out plenty of headsets was the Jeecoo JC-G1000 Gaming Headset.

The first thing you should know about this is that while it’s cheap and budget friendly that you shouldn’t immediately discount it as it really does offer a great deal for its price. The mic of this headset is clear and precise which is important when you are considering how important communication is when gaming with others.

These headsets are pretty comfortable with comfy padding that makes them enjoyable to wear for a great period of time. The Jeecoo can also fit any size so there is nothing to worry about when it comes to that. The sound is good and can really hold its own to more expensive headsets. One of the major pluses for this headset is its amazing bass that really lets you feel those lows while gaming which is very rare at this price point.

This headset also offers a choice of 3 colors, Blue, Green and Red. My favorite color is blue, so that’s what is shown here!

This headset is slightly better than the AFUNTA X1 headset as it has a 50mm driver for larger sound.

One additional  feature that I found to be pretty amazing is that this headset also offers a noise cancelling microphone to remove any background noise when you’re speaking. I am very surprised that a headset of this price is able to offer such a large driver and noise cancelling features.

I debated about moving this headset up the list higher as I think it’s deserving, but I dropped it down due to the multiple connectors required (some may see this as a plus though, I like to keep things clean).

PROS
Very Good For The Price
Amazing Mic
Good Sound
Great Bass
CONS
Padding could be thicker
Uses USB, audio & Mic jack to operate

RECOMMENDED FOR

I would recommend this headset to someone who is looking for a good quality gaming headset at a very nice price that also lives in a pretty noisy environment when trying to speak.

5. SADES SA913 GAMING HEADSET

  • 【HIGH COMPATIBILITY】Support PC, Mac, Laptop, Computer games, Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1,...
  • 【7.1 VIRTUAL SURROUND SOUND】Advanced driver delivers 7.1 virtual stereo surround sound with...

Sades is a relatively new company that has really claimed its piece of the gaming headset market with amazing budget friendly high-quality headsets. In our top five, I’ve chosen the Sades SA902’s. . We’ve moved on from the multiple jack options to straight USB connections.

When you look at what makes a good headset for someone who is going to be using them for gaming, you are really looking at a few major things. Does it have a good mic? The Mic on the Sades is made out of a high-quality silicone which keeps it clear and means a lot less static. Is it comfortable? With this headset, you will be 4 piece foam ear cups that feels amazing and will allow you to game for as long as you want with no feelings of discomfort. What about background noise? With the Sades SA902’s, you are getting a noise canceling headset that will allow you to game with no distractions so you can be fully immersed in the game world.

What about the sound? That’s where these headphones truly shine, Sades is known for their amazing bass and these headphones really can reach some amazing lows that other headphones in this price range just don’t reach. Unbelievably, the Sades SA902’s also provide 7.1 surround sound, which is quite amazing for the price.

I honestly can’t find anything negative to say about these headphones and while there are better sounding ones these are just amazing headsets for what you are paying. Others would agree, this headphone is a top seller at Amazon and has one of the most reviews I’ve seen on a headset.

I would have probably put this on a higher spot, but given that it only provides a year warranty, I dropped it down on the list.

PROS
Very Good For The Price
Amazing Mic
Good Sound
7.1 Surround
CONS
On the heavier side
Light stays on all the time

RECOMMENDED FOR

People who are wanting to spend around $30 dollars on a pair of headsets and want to get the best for the price.

4. XIBERIA Gaming Headset

XIBERIA Gaming Headset
  • BLUETOOTH FUNCTION : It is a Bluetooth headphone for 8-PIN, please open the Bluetooth to...
  • WIDE COMPATIBILITY : Compatible with Phone X 8 7, support all iOS system, enjoy the music and...

Xiberia is another new company created by The WCA (or World Cyber Arena) – who host some of the largest gaming matches across the world.

The headphones themselves are well-built and heavily padded with PU leather, and allows for hours of gameplay without becoming painful. There’s floating leather band that’s wide enough to distribute the weight of the entire headset.

People with small heads have found some disparities in terms of getting the headphones to sit comfortably, but one thing XIBERIA has routinely attempted to do (or so it seems) is steer away from overly ‘tight’ setups that crush the speakers into your ears.

The omnidirectional microphone complements the setup, and is rated to about 38 decibels give or take, meaning that you’ll have no problem communicating clearly and directly with your friends.

There have been some variable reports on the quality of sound, but again taking advantage of their warranty is always an option.

The Xiberia is also the second lightest headsets on the list, at 10.2 ounces.

Another small drawback, however, is that even though they are marketed as having noise cancellation properties (and for the most part this holds true), the sound out is not quite the same – depending on the fit of your headphones you can expect from noise leakage.

I’ve written a full out review of the Xiberia headset Here

PROS
7.1 Surround
Built in volume & mute control
Thick USB cable
2 year warranty
CONS
Padding may be small for some
Head size may be an issue (small or large)
May not block noise perfectly

3. Etekcity H7PX+ Gaming Headset

Etekcity H7PX+ Gaming Headset
  • 【How to use earbuds】as this Earphone is a Bluetooth connectivity version. You need to open...
  • 【Volume control】the cord was built in a in-line controller and a high quality hands-free...
  • 【High Performance sound quality】super dynamic deep bass high resolution treble & crisp...

Another Chinese company, but this one moves up to number 3 on the list due to it’s very good 2 year warranty. If you do purchase the headset, make sure to apply for the extended warranty (for free) so that you can get the full 2 year warranty.

The Etekcity gaming headset has 7.1 surround sound and comes with a neat addition of enhanced bass vibration speakers. The vibration speakes are neat, but I consider them a little bit gimmicky – the novelty may wear off over time; this feature however can be turned off on the headset if you’re tired of it.

This headset doesn’t offer any active noise cancellation features, but like most offers passive noise reduction through the design of their fitted over the ear cups.

One of the big reasons this headset jumped to the top of the list is due to its memory foam on the cups – but I have seen some complaints about the fit being a little too tight and pushing on the ears over time.

Like most of the other headsets, the H7PX+ Gaming Headset has an in line control panel. You can adjust volume, turn the vibration on/off and mute the mic.

This headset is also good to use with many of the gaming consoles out there such as the Playstation 4 & XBOX ONE.

All in all, I think this is a very good headset and very deserving of a solid look to purchase.

PROS
The Cost!
Good sound quality
Built in volume & mute control
Thick USB cable
18 month warranty
CONS
Lights don’t turn off
Head size may be an issue (small or large)
May not block noise perfectly

2. LOGITECH G430 GAMING HEADSET

Sale
LOGITECH G430 GAMING HEADSET
  • DTS Headphone: X and Dolby 7. 1 surround Sound: experience an immersive 360 degree sound field...
  • Built for comfort: lightweight design and soft sport cloth ear cups with 90 degree swivel for...

I again struggled where to put the G430 and settled on the number 2 spot in the best gaming headset under 50 dollars list.

These headsets are made by Logitech, which is known to produce high-quality gaming equipment and these headsets are a great addition to the company. One of the first things you notice about these headphones is how light they are. The G430’s look very bulky, but that is not the case at all as they weigh a pound. Not only are they light, but the earcups feel great on your ears and you can easily game for hours without the feeling that your ears are being tortured. The Mic sounds great and allows you to talk to your friends and communicate with others effectively. Not only do these sound great, but the G430’s look just as good as they sound and really impress with their simple yet beautiful design.

The Real thing that sets these headsets apart is the astounding surround sound that it provides. The only thing that could really ruin these headphones would be background noise. Luckily With the Logitech G430’s, you will hear nothing but the world your gaming in due to the amazing noise cancellation that literally makes you feel as though you’ve changed worlds.

I’m also kind of a neat freak, so I very much appreciate the detachable cups that can be washed – a small thing but I like it.

One cool unique feature that these headphones have is the noise cancelling mic. Many Mic’s at this price range do not have this feature and being able to filter background from your Mic is pretty important, especially if you are in a noisy environment.

It is for this reason I bumped the G430 up, the past few headsets have not offered a noise cancelling Mic.

My only dislike is that these gaming headsets can easily break as these have weak points. So if you are a headset abuser then you might want to look at more durable options as these won’t make it.

With the most reviews out of any headset I’ve come across, the G430’s have stood up to the test of time and come out on top.

PROS
Super Affordable
7.1 Dolby Surround Sound
Mic W/ Noise Reduction
Super Long Braided Cord
Amazingly Comfortable
CONS
Build Quality isn’t the best
Not That Customizable

RECOMMENDED FOR

I would recommend these headsets to anyone who is looking for a quality gaming headset that offers great sound and a noise-cancelling mic. If you are willing to take care of these headphones and aren’t worried about the durability these are headsets to consider.

1. HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset

Best Gaming Headset Under 50 dollars

HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset
  • Lightweight headset with 90 degree rotating ear cups
  • 50mm directional drivers for Audio precision

HyperX makes the top of our choices when it comes to the best Gaming Headset under 50.

Overall this was a very difficult choice – this list has many great headsets that makes it difficult to choose a winner.

To start, I chose the HyperX as the top as I very much like reducing the distractions necessary to operate during my gaming sessions.

I squeaked just under the $50 mark with this headphone as of this writing, which makes it is the most expensive headset on the list.

I appreciate being able to mute the microphone with a simple swing/tilt to the upright position – I’m not fumbling around looking for a tiny mute button when I’m about to explode on a rage filled scream session. Speaking of the microphone, the HyperX also offers a noise cancelling feature which anyone on the other side of your mic will appreciate…hearing only the sweet sweet sultry sounds of your voice.

I also like to have the volume control directly on the headset, if the sound needs adjusting – again I don’t want to fumble around looking for a button to press on the line.

The earcups are also memory foam and very comfortable which is always important for long term use. There is a 50mm driver able to produce good sound and the earcups are able to rotate 90 degrees so you can rest them on your neck and turn up the volume if you need a little break from them on your head. The swivel function also works well for travelling as the headset is able to lay more flat.

This is also the lightest headset on the list at a fractional 9.8 ounces – which again makes this headset feel extremely comfortable.

With everything listed above, I think you’ll agree that this headset is a fantastic choice and worthy of the top spot.

PROS
Amazing Surround Sound
Nice Design
Comfortable
Lightweight
CONS
Not That Durable (be careful with them!)
3.5mm jack
Can’t hear yourself when you speak

Conclusion…

With so many different headsets it’s really hard to find the best gaming headset under 50 dollars, but with this list, I feel as though I’ve included 7 amazing headsets that will be a joy to game with. Whether you are looking for a really cheap gaming headset or one that’s closer to $50 I’ve got you covered in this list.
